Atop North Lake Leelanau Overlooking North Lake Leelanau above M-204 just outside of Leland, Michigan. Painted on a windy day in early June. A unique horizontal and panoramic view of Lake Leelanau from Bay Hill above M-204. North Lake Leelanau looks so wide, instead of long and narrow. North and South Manitou islands, and Fox Island, seem to be resting on the surface of Lake Michigan. This painting on arches paper has been floated in a shadow box and contemporary wood frame—custom made by a local craftsman and finished by Johnston. It is free of glass.
