The mixed media/repurposed materials integrated into these paintings have a story and meaning. I'm a big recycler... and a lover of repurposing things to avoid the trash. I'm pretty good at putting items to use. Sometimes it's the immediacy that provokes the work. Just like when I paint on location... I fight off grand plans... that's not my preferred way to compose.
